Free typing lessons

June 1, 2010 How To

Yesterday my power went out, and the only internet access I had was on my Kindle. As I tried to type with it, I realized something I’d never thought about before; part of getting work done fast when you work at home is being able to type fast.

When I was about 5 I taught myself to type using an old typewriting book (one that had instructions for manual carriage returns!). Since then, I’ve always typed a lot more than I’ve written by hand, so it’s become as natural as talking for me. However I realized that for someone who types slowly or hunts and pecks, getting work done as quickly as I do would be impossible. So here’s a couple of links to some free typing lessons to help you learn to type or speed up your typing!

Happy typing!
